To make it easier to create and manage user accounts you can predefine rights on per user category basis in “user profiles”. Then, instead of specifying for each account which actions the user will be allowed to perform, you will simply need to select the appropriate profile for the user. And if you need to adjust the rights in the profile for a specific user, you customize them for the user (provided that you are allowed to perform this operation).
Also, if you need to edit the rights for a given user category, you simply need to edit the matching profile, and the changes you’ve made will be automatically applied to all the user accounts associated with the profile.
When Nexus is accessible from Nexus Platform, rights management is partly delegated to Runtime.
To access rights management, click on Administration in the Runtime navigation menu, then on the Directory and Rights management tab.
