Declare remote sites

You need to declare the remote institutions that will be allowed to exchange cases with your institution through Nexus. You can declare each remote institution manually. You can also use a simpler and quicker method by loading the institutions listed in the electronic directory for the networks that your institution are connected to.

When case exchanges take place via a central Nexus, only this central Nexus must be declared.

To access site configuration, click your name in the top right corner of the screen, then click on Administration, then Site directory.

Declare remote sites from electronic directories automatically

You can configure a remote directory to retrieve the list of sites and their configurations that it contains.

For that, click on Synchronize button, fill out Remote directory URL and possibly specify if you want this synchronization to be done periodically at a time of your choice.

All available sites are displayed dimmed and in italic type. It means that they are disabled, that is, Nexus cannot send any studies or cases to these sites. However, Nexus can receive data from all remote sites whether they are enabled or not.

NEVER edit the Security gateway, IP address, Port number and Public AE Title fields for remote sites downloaded from electronic directories..

To enable remote sites, double-click their names in the list. They will then change from dimmed to black. Only enable the appropriate sites so that users cannot send any studies to remote sites you do not want to communicate with.

Remove a remote site
